A beautiful newly installed LED wall sparkles and shines – until dust and dirt start to collect. Like any other fixtures or…

furniture in your space, some level of maintenance and cleaning is required to ensure the product is in tip-top shape. What’s the best way to clean your LED screens? We’re breaking it down step by step for you.

Step 1: Power it off

If we had to guess, you’ve probably cleaned other electronics in the past. From phones and computers to TVs and monitors, the first rule of thumb is to turn off the device before cleaning it. This holds true for LED walls and other products.

Step 2: Break out the cleaning solution

While there are many products out on the market that are perfectly fine to use on your LED walls, we like to keep things simple and encourage our customers to stick with a basic spray bottle filled with 1 third water and 2 thirds rubbing alcohol. According to The CDC, a solution with at least 70% alcohol disinfects best. This solution can be used on all Refresh LED products.

Step 3: Wipe it down

Microfiber cloths are the perfect tool to use when wiping down your screen. They work great at preventing smudges and are what we recommend using to wipe the disinfecting solution onto your product. Simply wipe the cloth on the screen and any exposed surface including metal and plastic. Make sure the cloth is lint-free, and try to remove any loose dust in an initial wipe. Then, dampen it with the solution and wipe, starting at the top of the display and working your way down. Instead of spraying directly on the screen, spray the solution onto the cloth and then apply it to the product.

Step 4: Let it air dry naturally

Once you’ve thoroughly wiped down your display, the next step is to let it air dry at room temperature. If your screen isn’t soaked in solution (which it shouldn’t be), this process shouldn’t take very long.

Step 5: Turn it back on

When you’re sure your LED wall is fully dry, you’re ready to plug it back in and turn it on.

Once you get into a rhythm with cleaning your LED walls and other products, add reminders to your schedule to keep up with it. Cleaning your products every month or quarter is a great way to ensure they’re running properly and displaying optimally.
