Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. If you’re not familiar with this locally famous bakery, it is one you will want to add to your list of places to visit. Enjoy their designer inspired cupcakes, decadent chocolates, and more!

Owners, Marc and Susan Serrao, started Oakmont Bakery in 1988, establishing themselves as the town’s only full-service retail bakery. They began with 1,200 square feet and a big dream. Since then, their space has dramatically expanded to over 12,500 square feet, making Oakmont Bakery one of the largest retail bakeries in America- and we were thrilled to be a part of their newest change.

Oakmont Bakery approached RefreshLED this past spring with one main goal: update their blank wall and display area. They wanted to swap out their dated and boring display area above their checkout register with a fresh and new LED screen. We gladly accepted the challenge and got to work!

For this project, our team ordered a custom LED screen with a 2.5 mm pixel pitch. The higher resolution screen was the perfect solution for the bakery wanting to share bakery videos and other graphics. Along with the high-resolution pixel pitch, we created a custom mount to attach the panel directly to the wall.

The screen’s bezel-less feature boasts a seamless design with vibrant colors and has provided Oakmont Bakery the perfect space to share timeless videos, pictures, and more. The project took about 4 weeks from start to finish and fit right into their timeline.

Overall, Oakmont Bakery was very pleased with the final product and their time working with Refresh. Our team loved working together with the crew at Oakmont and cannot speak highly enough of the people there… and the treats.
